Ray Mitchell
God has led Ray on a journey that has led him to become the leader of the World Prayer Center. He has a strong commitment to serving others, which is reflected in his ministry path. He has worked as a leader in busy congregations and served humbly as an assistant pastor in a homeless shelter. Furthermore, his extensive international, multicultural, and multilingual military experiences have further prepared him for this pivotal role. His ministry and international exposure have equipped him to lead the World Prayer Center with excellence.
Ray has gained extensive international leadership experience across America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. During his time in the Middle East, he served as the primary military sustainment advisor to the US Ambassador. He was responsible for advising on sustainment efforts, promoting diplomacy, and fostering cultural sensitivity between the US and his Arabic counterparts at the world’s largest embassy, which housed over 3,000 individuals from five continents. Ray honed his ability to serve multicultural environments with finesse. He led multilingual liaison efforts in Asia between the US and South Korean armies for logistics, human resources, and medical services. He has also served as the Deputy Commandant of the Army Sustainment University, a military university responsible for training Army Sustainment leaders and leaders from various countries.
Ray’s master’s degree in ministry, emphasizing church planting, aligns with God’s call to plant and support prayer ministries. His various life experiences reflect a combination of God’s lifelong preparations for his leadership at the World Prayer Center. He commits to serving others and fostering a vibrant community of believers dedicated to making a significant difference in the world through prayer.
