About World Prayer Center

Welcome to the World Prayer Center®.

We are grateful you are here.

At the World Prayer Center, we do not see you first as a visitor. We see you as someone created by God and invited into His presence. If you belong to Jesus Christ, then you are already part of the greater heavenly family.

Even if we have never met, we share one Heavenly Father, one Lord, and one faith. We may come from different backgrounds, denominations, traditions, cultures, and nations, but we are still part of the body of Christ throughout the world.

Who We Are

The World Prayer Center® exists as a prayer community hub for the body of Christ.

Our calling is to help revive the ministry of biblical prayer and encourage believers to grow in faith, spiritual maturity, and obedience to God’s will.

Our desire is simple: to help remove obstacles between people and God, to encourage prayer that is centered on Him, and to help believers live so that God’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven.

About World Prayer Center

How Our Mission Shapes Us

The mission of the World Prayer Center is to ignite a worldwide revival of Christian prayer by helping believers grow in personal dependence on God through Jesus Christ, hear and follow the Holy Spirit, live out the Gospel, serve others with love, and stand with compassion for those in need.

The World Prayer Center was created from a deep conviction that there is a need for a revival of biblical prayer across the world. Many believers desire to pray, but they have never been taught how to build a consistent, Christ-centered prayer life. Others have prayed for years, but they are seeking greater depth, stronger faith, and a closer walk with the Father.

The World Prayer Center exists to help believers grow in prayer, mature in faith, and strengthen their personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

We want to teach prayer to those who are new to the faith, new to prayer, or simply unsure where to begin. We also want to strengthen those who already pray but desire to grow in spiritual discipline, biblical understanding, intercession, and intimacy with God. Our goal is to help believers develop a prayer life rooted in Scripture, centered on Jesus Christ, and guided by the Holy Spirit.

The World Prayer Center seeks to impact several groups of believers:

1. New believers and new converts
We want to help new believers understand the foundations of biblical prayer, grow in their relationship with the Father, and learn how to follow Jesus through the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

2. Believers who desire to strengthen their prayer life
Many believers have walked with God for years but still desire a deeper and more consistent life of prayer. We want to provide biblical teaching, encouragement, and prayer resources that help them grow in spiritual maturity, intercession, worship, obedience, and love.

3. Believers in isolated areas
Some believers live in places where there is limited access to churches, pastors, biblical teaching, or Christian community. Others live in areas where following Christ may bring persecution, pressure, or hardship. The World Prayer Center desires to support these believers by helping them mature in faith, grow in prayer, and hold firmly to Christ with the limited ministry resources they may have available.

4. Believers who need help recognizing healthy spiritual leadership
We want to help believers understand the difference between spiritual leadership that matures them in Christ and leadership that creates fear, control, or unhealthy dependence. True spiritual leadership points people to God, teaches the Word faithfully, encourages spiritual maturity, and helps believers follow the Holy Spirit for themselves.

5. Independent prayer groups and emerging prayer leaders
The World Prayer Center also desires to mentor new independent prayer groups. We want to help prayer leaders build healthy, loving, biblical prayer communities that serve others, strengthen believers, and support the larger Body of Christ.

At the heart of the World Prayer Center is this belief: prayer should strengthen the believer’s relationship with the Father. Prayer is not meant to create dependence on a ministry, a leader, a personality, or an organization. Prayer is the believer’s invitation to draw near to God, hear His voice through the Holy Spirit, and live out the Gospel with love, obedience, humility, and compassion.

The World Prayer Center is not intended to replace the local church. We believe believers need a strong biblical community, regular fellowship, sound teaching, pastoral care, worship, accountability, and opportunities to serve with other believers. Prayer ministry should support the life of the Church, not compete with it. Our desire is to encourage believers to be more faithful, more prayerful, more loving, and more mature within the biblical communities where God has planted them.

A Ministry Shaped by Prayer

Our ministry has been shaped by prayer in deep and personal ways.

We believe prayer sustains families, guides lives, strengthens believers, and helps prepare God’s people for His work. That is why we are committed not only to praying, but also to teaching others how to pray with biblical understanding and spiritual maturity.

Love, Order, and Spiritual Maturity

As a prayer community, we also believe the Bible teaches that everything should be done decently and in order.

For that reason, our ministry has guidelines, structure, and expectations for how we gather, serve, and care for one another.

Not everyone will agree with every rule or every practice, especially because people come from many different traditions and experiences. But we ask all who engage with this ministry to remember that we are part of Christ’s global body, and that order, love, and spiritual maturity matter in the family of God.

Our End Goal

Our end goal is not simply to create activity.

Our end goal is to help believers walk so closely with God that His will is done in their lives on earth as it is in heaven.

We want to encourage people toward faithful service, spiritual growth, and obedience to Christ, so that one day their greatest joy will be to stand before the Lord and hear Him say:

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”

In all that we do, we want to point people back to God’s truth, God’s love, and God’s will.
