“Called to Be Holy”
April 27, 2026
Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile,
Devotional Thought:
This passage tells us to get ready for action and think clearly, focusing on the grace Jesus will bring when He returns. We should live like obedient children, avoiding our old bad habits, and strive to be holy in everything we do because God is holy. Since God judges everyone fairly, we should live with respect for Him during our time on earth.
Prayer Focus:
Heavenly father, We come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for Your endless grace and mercy. Help us to prepare our minds for action and to live soberly, focusing fully on the grace that will be revealed through Jesus Christ. Guide us to live as obedient children, turning away from our past sins and striving to be holy as You are holy. May we honor You in all our actions and remember Your impartial judgment, living each day with reverence and respect for You.
